WHAT IS THE TRANSFORMER PROTECTOR?
The Transformer Protector (TP) is a mechanical-hydraulic system designed to react extremely quickly when a severe internal fault occurs.
Its purpose is to manage rapid pressure increases and help reduce mechanical stress inside the transformer tank.



HOW IT WORKS
When a severe internal fault generates a rapid increase of gases and pressure, the system activates dedicated relief paths that divert oil through engineered components.
This rapid response:
- Helps reduce mechanical deformation of the tank
- Helps limit the risk of oil ignition
- Supports safer operations around substations and power plants
